A benefit concert by LACHSA students will be held Friday, May 26, 2006, at Cal. State- L.A. for our student, Alex Posada, and his 9-year-old brother, who were left orphaned when their parents were killed in a traffic collision. The tragic accident left the Posada children with an uncertain financial future. Alex is about to graduate and plans to go to college to continue his music studies.
The benefit-- featuring Arts High's jazz ensemble, vocal jazz group, gospel choir, full circle opera, concert choir, and orchestra -- takes place at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 26, at the Luckman Auditorium. LACHSA family and friends who wish to donate to the Alex Posada Family Fund (LACHSA senior who lost his parrents in a tragic car accident last weekend) may do so by making a check out to the "LACHSA Foundation" and write "Posada Family Fund" on the memo line.
