 Theatre at Arts High is dedicated to the young, to the dreamer, and to the imaginative creator of beauty. Classes challenge the best in students to interpret and portray what is truth, what gives joy, and what is real. Arts High Theatre combines the elements of classroom work, laboratory, and professional theatre, training the students in all aspects of performance and production. The focus
is on the individual and the relationship to
the ensemble.

Theatre Department Chair
Lois Hunter has been an arts educator and advocate for nearly 35 years in California secondary schools. In that time, she had directed more than one hundred high school and community plays and musicals, including her highly acclaimed Joe Turner’s Come and Gone by August Wilson.
