Ballet

Danashanti Harter began dancing at the age of eight with the New Jersey School of Ballet where she fell in love with dancing. Ms. Harter moved to California in 1992 to continue her studies at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. In her pursuit of further academic and dance endeavors, she went on to attend the University of California, Irvine and was one of the first to attain the distinction of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography, being awarded high honors. Since her graduation from UC Irvine, she has been dancing professionally throughout the Southern California area.
      Ms. Harter has had the privilege of studying under such esteemed teachers as: Donald McKayle, David Allan, Ka-Ron Lehman, Erin Landry, Jillana and Larry Rosenberg. Ms. Harter has danced as a principal dancer with various companies such as: Southern California Dance Theatre, Anaheim Ballet, The Lehman Dance Ensemble and most recently as a guest artist with the Riverside Ballet Arts. Ms. Harter has also taught various forms of dance in the LA and Orange County area, most recently accepting a position at her alma mater, LACHSA.

Vera Ninkovic was born in Perth, Australia. Ms. Ninkovic studied classical ballet at some of the most prestigious ballet schools in the world on scholarship including: The National Ballet School in Sofia, Bulgaria and The State Ballet School in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. She also studied with the London Studio Center in England where she was voted Dancer of the year in 1991 in her performance in the presence of HRH Prince Edward. She completed her training at the Royal Ballet School in London, England where she also recieved an R.A.D. Solo Seal Award. Ms. Ninkovic was a semi-finalist in the 1991 Prix de Lausanne International Ballet Competition in Switzerland. She went on to dance professionally with the Basel Ballet in Switzerland in 1994 and toured through Europe and South Africa. She also performed as a soloist with the Los Angeles Classical Ballet at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
      Having produced and choreographed a number of ballets and fashion shows in Australia, Ms. Ninkovic now has a non-profit company of models and dancers hosting performances at local events here in Los Angeles. She has participated extensively in charity events and hopes to continue her involvement with charitable organizations here in America.
      Ms. Ninkovic's previous employment as a ballet teacher includes: The Performing Arts Center in Cheselka Dance Center and The Marat Daukayev School of Ballet. Ms. Ninkovic is also head of the ballet department at Everybody Dance, a program for inner-city children in Los Angeles.

Edouard Kouzmitch studied at the National Ballet Choreographic College of Minsk, Belarus for 10 years. He earned his B.A. Degree in Fine Arts from Marii State University in Russia. He has danced with the Belorussian Bolshoi Ballet State Theater, the National Ballet Company of Mexico, and the contemporary dance company “Gineseo” at the University of Guadalajara. He has taught dance at the Westside Ballet Dance Academy in Santa Monica, the Santa Monica Dance Studio, the Edge Performing Center and the Crossroads School. He has danced and traveled extensively with companies through China, Japan, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Italy, Germany, France, Mexico and Cuba. He is fluent in Russian, Spanish and English. .
