Emmanuel Munda graduated from LACHSA in 1996 as a dual major in both Vocal and Instrumental music, playing the Saxophone. Since then he has been seen on stage, film and television. Performing in musicals such as “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “The King and I”, “Finian’s Rainbow” and the award winning “Song of the Rice, Song of Life; a Tale of Japan”, the world premiere performance at the Kennedy Center. He was also featured in Fox’s “Power Rangers Turbo” series and filmed a couple of martial arts films. His theatrical performance in “The Song of the Rice…” earned him a nomination to compete in the 2000 American College Theater Festival in Las Vegas.
Currently spending his last year at Cal State, Los Angeles, as a TV, Radio and Film Broadcast major, Emmanuel still pursues a career in the music industry. He currently produces hip-hop music for various artists, plays drums and saxophone at his church, raps and sings at concerts, and road manages a girl group. On top of that, Emmanuel is a coordinator and producer for a non-profit organization called “The U-turn Lounge”, a free club in Sun Valley, California that gives teens a safe place to dance. He is a technical director for a hip-hop play called “Homeslice”, which will be featured on Showtime and is working on starting his own multi-media production company. He teaches music computer technology in the Henry Mancini Electronic Music Composition Lab at Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.
